Mission
To own & manage a property portfolio that generates a sustainable and ongoing revenue stream to be applied to the economic & social development of Aboriginal people in Central Australia.
Vision
A vibrant, cohesive, inclusive and enriched Central Australian community.
Our Story
Yeperenye Shopping Centre first opened its doors on October 20, 1987. Patsy Biscoe, Fat Cat and Pots the Clown were present to mark the occasion as were many Alice Springs locals; keen to experience this modern way of shopping in air-conditioned comfort hitherto unknown in Central Australia.
Yeperenye is proud to be a successful Aboriginal owned business positively contributing to the economic, cultural and social well-being of Central Australia.
The Yeperenye Shopping Centre is a flagship Aboriginal enterprise and its success lies with strong and stable leadership over many years from a wealth of Aboriginal directors drawn from the local community, together with specialist directors with legal, accounting and retail property expertise. It is an unique, collaborative governance model.
